🌞July 2025
Smartico release notes for July 2025 - covering CRM Automation and Gamification improvements done since the previous release.
Custom Section Branding
Branding options are now available in Custom sections. You can tailor the Custom section for each brand individually. Set a unique name and image per brand, and easily copy the setup from the base section if needed.

Custom Schedule in Recurring Missions
You can now set a custom schedule for recurring missions by selecting specific dates for each recurrence. This new option, 'A few times: On specific dates and time', is available under the ‘Recurrence of mission’ setting. When these dates are defined, player progress will reset on each of the scheduled dates.
If no time limit is set (such as an end date or time to complete), the mission will remain active for 30 days after the last scheduled run. If not completed within that time, it will automatically move to the Missed tab.

New Widget Layout (v4)
We’ve launched a brand-new layout (v4) of the gamification widget for both desktop and mobile! Here’s what’s new:

Top navigation: The left-side menu has been moved to the top for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.
Improved header: The header has been redesigned to make it even more user-friendly.
Inbox shortcut: The inbox is now accessible via a button in the header, making it easier for players to check notifications.
New mobile footer: A new footer on the mobile version allows players to effortlessly navigate through sections.
New pop-ups: Fresh, engaging pop-ups have been added throughout the widget sections.
Updated visuals: Enjoy new backgrounds, stylish ribbons for element cards, and brand-new shapes for elements.
We’ve also released two new skins for the v4 layout, which you can use as is or customize to match your brand. If you’d like to create your own custom skin, we offer a Figma template to help you get started. Please contact your Success Manager to request it!

Gems & Diamonds in Dynamic Rewards
We’ve introduced support for Gems and Diamonds in Dynamic Rewards! You now have the flexibility to configure formulas that determine exactly how many Gems or Diamonds a user should receive giving you the ability to target and personalize your dynamic rewards more effectively.

Customize the Final Screen in Quiz
You now have more control over the final screen of the Quiz mini-game! You can replace the default confetti animation with a custom image, change the completion message, and even add a call-to-action (CTA) button to guide players to other sections of the widget.
New options available in the "Round UI Setup" section of the Quiz template (per round):
Final screen image
Final screen message
CTA button title

Update the Prize Pool image in Match X and Quiz
You can now customize the prize pool image in both Match X and Quiz! A new field has been added to the UI setup section in their templates. If you leave this field empty, a default fallback image will be shown instead.
Please note: This image is displayed only in the desktop version of the prize pool

Opt-in after every recurrence in ‘Recurring upon completion’ mission
You can now decide whether players need to opt in after each recurrence of a ‘Recurring upon completion’ mission. We’ve introduced a new setting, available exclusively for this mission type. The new setting is called 'Require opt-in after every recurrence' and it is available only if ‘Require explicit opt-in’ is enabled, otherwise is not visible.

By default, this setting is disabled, meaning players only need to opt in once - they’ll be automatically opted-in in all future recurrences of the mission. If you enable the setting, players will be required to opt in again each time the mission recurs.
New Email & Popup templates
We're excited to introduce a completely redesigned set of templates for Emails and Popups. These new templates offer a more modern, streamlined, and visually clear design aimed at improving user experience and boosting engagement.

In addition, we've enhanced the template selection modal to make it easier to navigate and differentiate between template categories. A new quick preview feature has also been added, allowing you to see key details at a glance and confidently choose the right template for your needs. We've added the ability to hide legacy templates as well to avoid clutter in the template list.

Header Counters improvements
We’ve added more flexibility to the header counters in the gamification widget! You can now configure each counter to either:
Redirect users to a specific section in the widget when clicked, or
Show a tooltip with helpful info.

The redirection to a specific section is set using deep links. You can find all available deep links here. You can also mix these options - for example, set one counter to redirect and another to show a tooltip. Configuration is done in Label settings and works for both desktop and mobile. The tooltip text is fully translatable using translation phrases. Additionally, you can choose to show or hide the counter labels. Note that this setting applies globally to all counters - you can’t hide it for some and show it for others.

Points, Gems & Diamonds log history
You can now view the complete history of Points, Gems, and Diamonds for every user directly from the profile page. Each action whether a deduction or accumulation is logged in a separate entry, with clear details of the user's balance of points/gems/diamonds or level points. Easily track the timeline of a user's activity, and quickly navigate to the source of each change for full transparency and traceability.

Adjust the animation speed for Giftbox
You can now fine-tune the animation speed in the Giftbox mini-game! We’ve added a new ‘Animation speed’ setting at the skin level, set to 0.5 by default. You can choose any value between 0.1 (slowest) and 1 (fastest), giving you full control over how fast the opening giftbox animation plays.
