🌞August 2024

Smartico release notes for Augutst 2024 - covering CRM Automation and Gamification improvements done since the previous release.

BO: Copy prize in Mini-games and Match X

We’ve introduced a new enhancement that allows you to copy prizes across all Mini-games (Loyalty Wheel, Scratch Card, Giftbox) and Match X. When a prize is copied, it will initially appear as disabled with an ‘Enable’ button. After clicking the ‘Enable’ button, you can fully customize the prize by changing its type, image, name, and more.

Please note that when a prize is copied, some settings such as ‘Items in stock,’ ‘Items in stock (on refill),’ and ‘Surcharge prize,’ will be reset to their default values in the duplicated prize.

CRM: ‘Send Preview’ for SMS assets

You can now send a preview of the SMS assets to a particular phone number. We have added the option ‘Send Preview’ in the SMS assets template. To send an SMS preview you need to type the external user ID, the phone number and to define the SMS provider. The phone number must begin with your country code. For example, the country code for the UK is +44, so you should enter +44 before the phone number.

Keep in mind that when ending in the 'preview' mode, some logic will not work:

  • Deep links like dp:unsubscribe will not be replaced with real links

  • Communication will not be saved in the communication history of the user

General: New UI for the Back Office

We've rolled out additional screens in the BO with the updated UI.

Here’s what’s new:

  1. Mini-games

  • We've launched a new creation wizard that allows you to choose the type of mini-game you want to create.

  • The mini-game template features a split-screen layout: the game preview is on the right, while the settings are on the left.

  • Prizes have been relocated to a separate tab.

  • All options related to the game's cost are now grouped under the 'Attempts Cost Type' modal.

  • UI-related options are in 'Game Configuration', where you can preview the game (with Desktop and Mobile view) and see the changes in real-time.

  1. Match X

  • The settings tab in the Match X template features the General and the Advanced settings.

  • Prizes have been moved to a separate tab.

  • We’ve added informative messages when you create the Match X template when creating a new round, and when the round is resolved.

  • The winnings table is also with a new design.

  1. Tournaments

  • 'Related Games' have been moved to a dedicated tab.

  • Tournament Entry Mode and Schedule options are now placed in separate modals for improved clarity.

  • Tournament Logic and UI settings are organized into distinct sections for easier navigation.

  • The tables under the Prize Pool, Related Games, and Runs tabs have been redesigned for a more streamlined experience.

  1. Resource Manager - We've upgraded the Resource Manager with a complete revamp and added powerful new features.

  • Tabs - All, Favourite, Created by me tabs are now available

  • ‘Type’ filter - you can filter the files by their type (video, image, JSON, etc.)

  • List and Gallery view - you can switch between the two views

  • Displaying more details about the file such as size, format, dimensions, etc.

  • Tags - Tags can be found in the left menu and beneath the image preview on the right side of the screen. When you upload a file, a tag is automatically assigned based on the place from where it was uploaded. For instance, if you upload an image from the Levels template, it will automatically receive the 'Level' tag, making it easy to find all files from that section. You can also create custom tags by typing the tag name and pressing enter. Once created, these tags can be assigned to images or removed as needed.

  • Mini-games skin uploader - We've improved the process for uploading mini-game skin files. When you upload an image package, you'll now see detailed information about each file, including a preview, format, dimensions, status, size, and more. If there are any missing or incorrect files, you'll be notified immediately. To view the currently uploaded package, simply click the "Open files" button.

  1. Missions - The mission template has been upgraded to the new UI, with enhanced cloning capabilities.

  • We've launched a new creation wizard that allows you to choose the type of mission you want to create.

  • When cloning a mission, you can now select the mission type and choose whether to include mission tasks, related games, and prizes in the clone. The newly created or cloned mission will automatically be in 'Draft' status. You can switch the mission from there to 'Active' or 'Archived.' Once a mission is set to 'Active,' it cannot be reverted to 'Draft' - only to 'Archived.' Additionally, an archived mission cannot be restored to 'Active' or 'Draft' status.

  • Tasks and Related games are moved to a separate tab

Gamification: Jackpots

Smartico is providing a progressive Jackpot engine that is independent of the game providers. You can set up multiple Jackpots running in parallel, targeting different segments of users and games. The front end UI is fully customizable and can be built via API. You can find examples of implementation at https://expo.smartico.ai/jackpots and in the API Reference - https://github.com/smarticoai/public-api/blob/main/docs/classes/WSAPI.md

With Smartico Jackpots, players contribute a small amount from each casino bet to participate. They have the flexibility to opt into the jackpots they prefer and can opt out at any time. The Jackpot win is triggered randomly, giving every player a chance to win regardless of their bet size or game outcome.

Please contact your Customer Success Manager to enable the Jackpots.

The Jackpot can be created from the BO under the Gamification tab in the Jackpot section. Here are some of the main configurations that can be set from the BO:

  • Jackpot Currency

  • Eligible Games

  • Contribution Type - percentage from the bet or fixed amount per bet

  • % of bet to contribute - e.g. 0.5% of 1 EUR, will deduct from the player wallet 0.005 EUR

  • Percentage of contribution from the player. If the whole amount is taken from the player, or part of it will be covered by the operator

  • Exploding logic - min and max amount at which the jackpot can explode

  • UI configurations

  • Branding

Gamification: Manually Unlock mission for a specific user segment

We've introduced a new feature allowing you to manually unlock locked missions for specific user segments. For example, if a mission is set to unlock at level 7, you can unlock it for users who have already reached that level before the mission was created.

The 'Manual Unlock' option is available only for active ‘Available, Locked’ missions and does not apply to missions in 'Draft' or 'Archived' status. You'll find this option under the 'More' dropdown. Use conditions and 'OR' groups to define the user segments you wish to unlock the mission for. Once a mission is manually unlocked for these users, it cannot be reverted back to locked.

Gamification: New type of Custom Section

Now you can create a button/link that redirects users to a specific URL with a single click. We’ve added a new type of Custom section called ‘Button/Link’. For example, you can create a custom section called ‘Go to Casino’ and when the users clicks on it they will be redirected to the Casino page.

The Button/Link section supports deep links, custom deep links, URLs, and tags (State and Label tags). It is available under the Custom Section in the BO and has the following options:

  • Internal Name - visible only on the BO

  • Status - the section will be visible in the gamification widget only if it is in status ‘Active’

  • Activity Period - schedule a start and end date for the appearance of the Custom section

  • Users who can see it - select which users can see the Custom section

  • Menu Image - displayed in the left menu of the gamification widget

  • Menu Name - displayed in the left menu of the gamification widget next to the image

  • Deep link or URL - here, you can specify the deep link, URL, or tag that will redirect users when they click on the custom section

CRM: Custom ‘from’ name for SMS

We’ve enhanced the SMS activity in the flow builder with a new setting: the ability to set a custom ‘from’ name using the 'Override "From" Name' option. This allows you to personalize the sender name for your SMS messages. The feature supports label tags and works seamlessly in case of automatic selection of the gateway for multi-brand context.
