Terms to protect

Since Gamification involves point accumulation which is directly related to Bonuses or items that may be purchased or given during running campaigns, the operator has to protect itself from potential abuse or misuse of the platform.

The following are strictly guidelines for some Terms and Conditions which can be used in order to protect the operator from wrong usage on behalf of the users.

The information provided below does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal advice; instead, the information below is for general informational purposes only. These Terms & Conditions are merely a suggestion!

  1. Players are opted into Leaderboards automatically, and they donโ€™t need to manually enroll or opt-in.

  2. Prizes from the Leaderboards are immediately credited to the player's points balance following the conclusion of the Leaderboard time period.

  3. In the event of a tie in one of the Leaderboards, all players that finished with the same amount of points will receive the prize.

  4. Make sure you notify your players that In the event of a technical issue that includes, but is not limited to Mission/Task configuration, Marketplace items, Bonus items, (redeemed and non-redeemed), and Leaderboards, the site management will declare null and void. For example, a mission that was set up in a wrong way where players can abuse intentionally or not the issuing of the points, or point reward is higher than initially intended. The operator should mention that Management is entitled to terminate promotions/bonuses/leaderboards or participation in any of the events and actions provided by the gamification feature at its sole discretion or cancel items if the items purchased have incorrect prices due to various errors.

  5. Make sure to notify that attempts to abuse the gamification features offered by the site, will cause the voiding of any winnings derived from such abuse, and/or bonuses redeemed, followed by an immediate block from using those features in the future. So if a player is abusing the gamification in any way you can exclude it from points accumulation or Marketplace.

  6. See if you want to mention that Marketplace items can be bought only by depositing players. Players that have not made a minimum of one (1) deposit are not eligible to use the Marketplace.

  7. Some of the Marketplace items are redeemable once per day, items that exceed the limits will be rejected upon purchase. This is important to make sure that players with a high amount of points cannot buy Marketplace items (free bonuses) more than they intended and it may miss the scope of the Marketplace.

  8. Depending on the Bonus Policy of the operator all Match Bonuses, Free Spins, Free Bonuses, and Cash Bonuses given, redeemed, or purchased ARE or SHOULD BE subject to Bonus Terms and Conditions, and make sure you place a visual link to T&C.

  9. If you decide to expire bonus or items that were given in the Marketplace or during Campaigns after a period of time, you should mention that items purchased in the Marketplace and failed to redeem can be shown in the Bonus section under โ€œPendingโ€ items for X amount of days before they expire. You can also decide not to โ€œkeepโ€ such items at all and if such items are not redeemed, the points will be restored and refunded to the player.

  10. Based on the Bonus policy of the operator, the players need to acknowledge that bonuses that are subject to playthrough which is redeemed while the player has previous balance, will add playthrough requirements to the player's account (if such policy is implemented).

  11. The operator should state that the Management is entitled to change the definition of Levels, Missions, Leaderboards, points accumulation rules, and Marketplace items at its sole discretion. So if you want to add new levels or missions or change the current levels or missions you are allowed to.
