We’ve introduced a new prize type in Mini-Games and Lootbox 2.0: Missions. Players can now win missions as rewards from:
Spin the wheel
Scratch Card
Giftbox
Match X and Quiz
Prize Drop
Lootbox 2.0
This new prize type can be configured in the BO under the Prizes tab. Note that only 'Featured Manually' missions can be selected as prizes.
We’ve introduced the ability to assign multiple prizes per day in Lootbox 2.0. This feature works with both layouts—Cards and Map—and applies to both scheduling options: Weekdays and Calendar Days. When multiple prizes are assigned on the same day, the player will receive one prize, selected randomly.
For Calendar Days, ensure the date range for the prize is exactly one day (e.g., Start Date: 10.10.2024, End Date: 10.10.2024).
You can configure Lootbox prizes to require players to claim them manually before they are issued. When this setting is enabled, the prize will only be awarded after the player clicks the 'Claim' button; otherwise, the prize will remain unissued.
This option can be found in the Prize Configuration screen under 'Type of Winning Message' and is labeled as 'Full message with acknowledge button.' In the 'Not Claimed Prizes' tab, you can view all unclaimed prizes. From this tab, you can also manually issue a prize to a specific player by clicking the 'Claim Manually' button. Only prizes that require acknowledgment will appear in the 'Not Claimed Prizes' tab.
We’ve introduced a new type of mission that resets and becomes available again immediately after completion. You can set a specific maximum number of completions or leave it unlimited:
Unlimited completions: If no limit is set, the mission will always reappear after it’s completed.
Limited completions: If you set a maximum number, the mission will reset after each completion until the limit is reached. Once the limit is met, the mission will move to the ‘Completed’ tab and will no longer be accessible.
Key details about ‘Recurring upon completion’ missions:
Opt-in available: Players can choose to participate in these missions or not.
Set availability period: You can define a start and end date for when the mission will be active.
No reward claiming: These missions do not include a separate reward claim process.
We’ve introduced the availability period with Start and End dates for all mission types. The option is available under the ‘Additional’ section in the mission template inside the BO. This allows you to schedule:
Recurring missions
Locked missions
Manually featured missions
Generally available missions
Recurring upon completion missions
Key Details:
You can configure both Start and End dates or only one of them (e.g., just a Start date or just an End date).
Before the start date is reached, the mission will appear under the Locked tab with a label showing the start date and a countdown timer displaying how long it will take until it becomes available.
Once the Start date arrives, the mission moves to the Available tab. If configured, it will show a timer for either the time remaining to complete the mission or the time left until the End date.
If the time to complete the mission is reached and the mission is not completed, it moves to the Missed tab with an Expired label.
For recurring missions, there will not be an Epxpired label only a timer showing the time left till the next reset date.
If the End date is reached and the mission is not completed, it moves to the Missed tab with an Expired label. For recurring missions, this means the mission will not reappear.
Keep in mind that the availability period works in combination with other settings such as:
Time to complete the mission
Opt-in
Hide mission when expired
Recurrence of mission (for recurring missions only)
The behavior of the mission on the user interface (UI) will depend on how these settings are configured together.
We’ve added a new option for sending push notifications called the 'Target devices'. This setting allows you to choose the type of app to receive the notifications:
Native app
Web
All
You can configure this setting in the Campaigns Flow Builder or directly in the User Profile page of a player.
You can specify the bonus value when issuing a bonus through a campaign, automation rule, mission, mini-game, tournament, or store item. Once added, the bonus cost can be factored into campaign cost evaluations or used in uplift behavior models.
Use the ‘Bonus cost analysis’ report in the BO to review the estimated real-money value of bonuses distributed via the Smartico system.
We’ve introduced two new enhancements for rich body inbox messages - 'Open Links' and 'Enable zoom mode for images':
Link Opening Options (Open Links): You can now choose whether links within the message open in a new window or the current one. By default, links open in a new window.
Image Zoom (Enable zoom mode for images): Added the option to zoom in on images by clicking on them within the message. By default, this feature is disabled.
We’ve redesigned the Label Settings in the BO to make navigation and configuration easier and more intuitive:
Streamlined Search: A new search bar lets you quickly locate the settings you need by typing relevant keywords.
Simplified Navigation: The Sidebar menu enables faster access to specific sections.
Exclusive Access: Widget settings are now visible only to users with the ‘CRM Admin Role.’
Change Tracking: You can track changes made to settings, including overrides at the Brand or Label level.
Quick Revert: Easily revert overridden settings to their default value with a single click and save the update.
Gateway Configuration: Email, SMS, and IVR gateway configurations are now exposed, allowing you to add or update gateways with ease. Read more about gateways here.
We’ve streamlined the Lootbox creation process by introducing automatic generation of a Custom Section. During the Lootbox setup wizard, you can now set the menu image that will be displayed in the Gamification Widget. Once you click ‘Create,’ a Custom Section with the same name as the Lootbox will be automatically generated and linked to it, saving you time and effort.
You now have the option to hide users who haven't met the minimum score required to qualify for the Tournament from the leaderboard. By default, this feature is disabled, meaning all users, regardless of their score, will appear on the leaderboard. When enabled, only players who meet the minimum score will be displayed, along with the current player. If the current player hasn’t reached the minimum score, their rank will not be shown.
The ‘Set a campaign STOP’ option allows you to set a specific date and time to stop a campaign. You can find this option under ‘Advanced Settings’ in the campaign template. It's available for both real-time and scheduled campaigns.
When the stop date is reached:
New users can no longer join the campaign.
Users already in the campaign will stop progressing, and their journey within the campaign will end.
The ‘Update points API’ allows you to update user point balances on the Smartico platform. For each user you need to specify the operation - set, add, or deduct points and the points balance. You can perform the following operations for each user:
Set: Assign a new point value.
Add: Increase the current points balance.
Deduct: Decrease the current points balance.
Point Balances:
points_ever:
Represents the total points a user has ever accumulated.
Affects the user’s current level progression.
points_balance:
Represents the user’s current available points.
Can be spent on features like the store, mini-games, tournaments, etc.
It is recommended to send batch updates. The maximum number of users per update is 1000. For more information, please refer to the Rest API documentation in the BO.
