▪️Imported Segments

Segments can be also imported as CSV file. Imported segments are used when you have a very specific audience you can’t really group per some criteria. They are not that flexible as they remain exactly the same as you uploaded them.

To create an imported segment navigate to the Segments section and click on the "Import segment" button:

It will open a window where you'll have to add a name for the segment and upload the already prepared CSV file:

Please note that there is a special formatting required for the data in order for the import to be successful.

You must have at least two columns including the user_ext_id and core_sm_brand_id.

user_ext_id - that's the user external ID (without the brand indication in the beginning):

core_sm_brand_id - that's the brand ID for the brand of which the given user belongs. You can find this number in the user profile, the number standing before the user external ID. In the example case is 31.

Once prepared my file should look like this:

Once file added click "Import" and wait for the segment to be imported. Please note that this might take several minutes, especially for bigger segments. In case of any errors with the upload, formatting or something else, the system will indicate an error.
