# Custom domains for landings & promotions

When creating Landing or Promotion you have an option to pick a domain on which it will be hosted.

By default you will see only domain **ld-int.dev**, this domain is used for the testing purpose name, and the page that you publish will be hosted on the sub-domain in the form of **<https://abcd-1234...ld-int.dev>.**

In order to connect your own domain, please follow this guide:

* Purchase a domain from any domain registrar.
* Create a JIRA ticket with domain name that you have purchased
* We will provide you with the required NS records.
* In your registrar's DNS settings, replace the current NS records for the root domain with the NS records we provide.
* After DNS propagation is complete, the domain will be ready to use. Note: DNS propagation can take from a few minutes up to 24-48 hours, depending on the registrar.

As soon as the process is completed, you can create unlimited number of the landing pages that will be hosted on the 3rd level domain of your main domain, e.g. if you have purchased domain **mypromo.com**, you will be able to host pages like **summer-tournament.mypromo.com**, **welcome2026.mypromo.com** etc.

Widgets and Custom games are always hosted on Smartico owned domains as they are not requiring end-user facing urls and embedded on the main site

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.smartico.ai/welcome/products/vibe-studio-beta/custom-domains-for-landings-and-promotions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
