Trigger campaigns and automation rules on certain pages

This feature enables the operator to track and act on every user's navigation between the pages in real time.

When the feature is enabled, you can act on the "Core: page navigation" event, which is triggered whenever the user opens the site or navigates between pages — including URL changes within single-page applications.

You can trigger pop-ups, inbox messages, or any other targeted action the moment the user reaches a specific page.

Key Capabilities

  • Triggers on Every URL Change The event occurs whenever the URL updates—whether through classic navigation or dynamic routing.

  • SPA-Friendly Behavior Special handling ensures that single-page applications correctly emit the core_page_navigation event even when navigation occurs without a full HTTP reload.

  • Initial Activation on First Load The event also executes when the user first comes online (initial site open), ensuring consistent tracking from the very first moment.

How to set up a campaign/automation rule that acts on the page navigation.

  1. Select "Core: page navigation" as the trigger event

  1. Add a new condition and select "Event property (string)"

  1. Set the "url" value in the property name, select the operator (e.g., "contains"), and define the page or URL that you want to target
